Het is het sleutelwoord voor veel degeneratieve ziekten. Om onze gezondheid een boost te geven moeten we stoppen met gebruiken van suiker. De meeste van ons weten wel dat suiker niet gezond is, maar de meerderheid van de bevolking heeft geen idee welke verwoestende invloeden suiker heeft op onze gezondheid. De consumptie van suiker is de laatste jaren enorm gestegen. De gemiddelde Nederlander gebruikte (in 1990) 48 kilo suiker per jaar! Ruim 32 kilo (= 85%) zit verstopt in onze voedingsmiddelen; 16 kilo suiker scheppen we zelf op. Veel vrouwen zijn verslaafd aan suiker. Het is een giftig goedje en het is erg verslavend. Er zouden grote doodskoppen op pakken suiker moeten staan. Niet alleen op pakken suiker maar op alle producten waar vormen van suiker inzitten. Door het regelmatig eten van producten met veel suiker, zullen gemiddeld minder gezonde of rondweg erg slechte producten gegeten worden. Hierdoor krijg je dan ook minder vitamines en mineralen binnen en het ontregelt uw balans. Het ligt zeker ook aan de geraffineerde suiker, want deze bevatten absoluut geen vitaminen. Dit zijn stoffen die ons lichaam nodig heeft voor de verwerking van onder andere koolhydraten, en dus van suiker. Aan vruchtensappen wordt echter ook nog weleens suiker toegevoegd. Fruitdrankjes met toegevoegde suikers kunnen zodoende meer suiker bevatten dan frisdrank. En als we meer eiwitten eten hebben we meer vitamine B6 nodig. Bij het vaststellen van de aanbevolen dagelijkse hoeveelheid (ADH) van vitamines is hiermee echter al rekening gehouden.
